U.S. Construction Spending Up 2.8% Year over Year

census bureau logoThe U.S. government is reporting that total construction spending in March, 2025 was at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $2,196.1 billion, down 0.5% from February’s revised number.  However, March’s estimate is 2.8% higher than one year ago.  Residential construction came in at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $937.7 billion in March, which is 0.4% lower than February’s revised estimate.
